The Great Outdoors — Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise
Outdoor activities in touch with nature.
Nature travel is luckily becoming a trend. If adventures and the great outdoors thrill you, then naturalistic tourism will be a super good fit for you! Travel is typically associated with fun, rest, vacations, and self-time. However, traveling or visiting new areas may frequently become a stressful or hectic experience, and you never truly escape the city life and the routines of a typical workday. It is much simpler to truly dedicate to yourself and your loved ones' well-being, when you respect first and foremost your natural rhythms.

Forca d'Acero is the major gateway to the National Park of Abruzzo, located at 1538 meters above sea level. Forca d'Acero derives its name from the presence of an astonishing number of age-old maples, which, along with oak and beech trees, transform the area into a kaleidoscope of hues. It is one of the most beautiful areas for the autumn foliage, close to famous truffle spots in Campoli Appennino.

Posta Fibreno lake is situated in the Comino Valley, on the boundary of Lazio with Abruzzo and Molise, in the middle valley of the Liri, in the center of the eponymous reserve in the province of Frosinone, on the Lazio side of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise. A true hidden gem in the heart of Italy. This lake has a one-of-a-kind combination of natural beauty and historical significance. It is a Nature Reserve and protected area since 1983. It features another amazing asset, a vegetable-based floating island (known as the Rota) that appears to float on transparent lake waters when exposed to wind or currents. Plinio Il Vecchio, Pliny the Elder described the island in his Naturalis Historia, a naturalistic treatise that is still considered one of the most important in the world. A fairytale location thanks to its pure streams that let the sun shine on the beautiful rainbow underwater vegetation. A jewel for lovers of birdwatching, of good typical cuisine, of long hikes, of tranquility and contact with nature. It is only a few kilometers to Isola del Liri. The distinctive village with the majestic waterfall in the city center.

The Lacerno Canyon (in Campoli Appennino, Lazio) is undoubtedly one of the most stunning excursions in Ciociaria. A true natural adventure if you visit the Lacerno gorges, which are bordered by thin walls and accompanied by the flow of water and little waterfalls. The Gorges appear like a dark green valley; as you descend, you will encounter strong jurassic rocks eroded over millennia by the Lacerno Stream. The thick bush is a curtain that conceals the high walls as you go, arriving on the greenery of the stream on a twisting route that softly ascends the slope of the water.
